
Phil Jones has pulled out of England’s squad due to a thigh injury.
The 25-year-old was forced off in the first half of England’s goalless draw with Germany on Friday evening.

The Football Association has confirmed that Jones will play no part in Tuesday’s friendly against Brazil and has returned to Manchester United for further treatment by the club’s medical staff.
Jones could now be a doubt for United’s clash with Newcastle United next Saturday.

Following England’s draw with Germany at Wembley, Gareth Southgate played down the severity of Jones’ injury.
‘He seems fine, we’ve checked him out,’ said the England boss.
‘It’s something he’s been carrying but he doesn’t seem to be any worse so that’s fine.’
