Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has admitted that he will follow Sir Alex Fergusons lead over man management in order to get the best out of Manchester Uniteds under-performing stars.
Jose Mourinho was sacked on Wednesday after falling out with a number of key players, most notably of all was Paul Pogba who has been dropped in recent weeks.
The relationship between Mourinho and Pogba was said to have deteriorated so badly that the Frenchman celebrated news of his former managers sacking on Tuesday morning.
Alexis Sanchez is another big-name player that Mourinho failed to get the best out of and Solskjaer challenged his players to make an impact when called upon.
When asked specifically about how he will manage Pogba, Solskjaer said: My job is to help the players, make them grasp the opportunity, they all wanna be part of Manchester United, Im here to help them, help the team, down to man management.

I had the best manager as a player and coach to deal with players and its about communication, Ill sit down and speak to the ones not playing.
When youre at Manchester United there are a set of demands and one is to be a team player and I dont think anyone has been on the bench more than me!

Pogba was named as a substitute in three of Mourinhos final four games in charge of the club including his final one in the 3-1 defeat to Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday.

Solskjaer briefly worked with Pogba during his role as Uniteds reserve team manager between 2008-2011 and admitted in August that he would look to build the team around him if he were manager.
Metro.co.uk also understands that Solskjaer singled out Pogba and David De Gea for their quality in his first training session with the squad on Thursday ahead of Saturdays game against Cardiff.
While it looks as though Pogba will be primed to return to the first-team picture under Solskjaer, Sanchez remains unavailable with a hamstring injury and the United boss admitted he is yet to meet the Chilean or Romelu Lukaku who has been given compassionate leave.

Lukaku has had a couple of days off, Ive not seen him yet and Ive not seen Alexis because hes on his way back as well. Im looking forward to seeing them, Solskjaer said.
