NEW DELHI: India registered a protest with Pakistan on Friday over the killing of an Indian national in unprovoked firing by Pakistani forces, official sources said.
A young man was killed and another injured when Pakistan army violated the ceasefire and resorted to mortar shelling in forward areas along the Line of Control in Jammu & Kashmirs Poonch district on Thursday.
Eighteen-year-old Gulfraz Ahmed was killed and another person was injured when shells hit their village in Mankote sector. A Pakistani soldier was killed in retaliatory firing by Indian forces.
