
Antonio Contes move to Real Madrid has stalled after the Italian asked the clubs hierarchy to make two transfers during negotiations, according to reports in Spain.
Madrid have now confirmed the sacking of Julen Lopetegui and have announced that Santiago Solari, the clubs Castilla coach since the summer of 2016, has provisionally replaced him as manager.
Conte is available after he was sacked by Chelsea in the summer and has been in talks with the Champions League holders.
But according to Marca, the 49-year-olds arrival at the Santiago Bernabeu has been slowed down due to his demands.
The report claims that Conte has already asked Madrid to sign a new central defender to suit his favoured three-man defensive system.

And the ex-Chelsea manager has also asked for a striker who is capable of leading the line on his own.

Conte has used a similar formation at both Juventus and Chelsea and has won league titles in Serie A and the Premier League.

But throughout his time at Chelsea, Conte clashed with Chelseas hierarchy over their transfer policy and several of the players he wanted were not signed, including Arturo Vidal, Alexis Sanchez and Virgil van Dijk.
Marca report that Contes arrival at Madrid is now complicated but the prospect of the Italian ending up at the Bernabeu is not completely ruled out at this stage.
