Jose Mourinho told United they can sell Martial this summer as the manager does not believe the Frenchman has what it takes to excel under his guidance.
But, United are reluctant to part with one of their prized assets, believing Martial still has a bright future at the club.

Martial saw his relationship with Jose Mourinho hit new lows this summer when he left Uniteds US pre-season tour to meet his newborn baby girl.
Mourinho subsequently fined Martial for going AWOL and not training during the time he spent away from the squad.
Martial played for the first time this season in the defeat to Brighton last week, managing 60 minutes.
