
Unai Emery has spoken out on Arsenals transfer plans with the summer window set to close in less than a week.
In the first transfer window since Arsene Wenger left, Arsenal signed goalkeeper Bernd Leno, defenders Stephan Lichtsteiner and Sokratis Papastathopoulos, midfielder Lucas Torreira and forward Matteo Guendouzi.
The Gunners continue to be linked with more players but Emery, 46, admits his focus is on preparing for Arsenals first Premier League match rather than incoming signings.

But the former PSG boss admits the club may have to sell some players before the window shuts on Thursday evening.
My focus is on the first match and preparing, and not for the window and the possibility to sign another player, he said.

Maybe we need some players to leave because we have lots in the squad, but at the moment, my one focus is on our work.


Meanwhile, Emery says full-back Nacho Monreal could still face Manchester City in Arsenals opening game of the season despite missing the entire pre-season schedule.
Monreal was late returning to Arsenals squad after earning a place in Spains squad for the World Cup.
He arrived with no big injuries, but his knee has a little problem and hes training everyday but not with us, Emery added.

Hes doing work alone with the physical coach, and running, and we think maybe on Tuesday he can start training with the team.
We dont want the injuries but its one of those things that you cant help.
