
Rafael Nadal wrapped up his third-round match in confident fashion on Saturday – and finished in time to catch the vast majority of Englands World Cup clash with Sweden.
The world No. 1 is a huge football fan and was devastated to see Spain tumble out of the competition at the hands of hosts Russia earlier in the tournament.
It hasnt affected his progress at Wimbledon, with the two-time champion easing to the second week without the loss of a set, and the 32-year-old is still watching the World Cup with great interest.
And with the Three Lions on their way to the semi-finals, Nadal asked the question on every England fans lips.
Im just happy to be in the fourth round again, he said.
Its positive news for me and Im just excited to keep playing well.
