Moyes has been confirmed as the new West Ham boss, replacing Slaven Bilic after he was sacked on Monday. This appointment has been met with ridicule from the world of football, considering Moyes’ recent career is hardly deserving of a Premier League job. Since leaving Everton for Manchester United – becoming their ‘Chosen One’ – in 2013, Moyes has taken in failed spells with the Red Devils, Real Sociedad and Sunderland – winning just 15 of his last 65 league games as a manager. Clearly David Sullivan and David Gold think that is a good record.

David Moyes has been hired to replace Slaven Bilic as West Ham manager with the club in the Premier League relegation places.
Despite many feeling Bilic is actually a better coach than his successor, Hammers' owners David Sullivan and David Gold moved to bring in a manager who has won only 15 of his last 65 league matches, and who can name Marouane Fellaini as TWO of the three most expensive signings made throughout his career.
When reports emerged indicating Moyes was in line to take over, the uproar from the West Ham support was overwhelming, and it is suggested Gold and Sullivan were made aware of the negative response. However, they simply went ahead with their decision anyway, and Moyes was confirmed as West Ham manager on Tuesday.
It is as if Gold and Sullivan hired Moyes just to annoy the London Stadium faithful, making this one of the most banterous managerial appointments in football history.
